This beautifully restored Indian Scout is a very characteristic piece from the early American motorcycling history. It is an earlier, short framed, middleweight  Scout model, wich was very popular, when the Hendee Manufacturing Company introduced it in 1920, in Springfield, Massachusetts. In contrast with the heavyweight big twins (wich were usual in the late ’10-s), the new model, called „Scout” was much lighter, more reliable and also easier to handle, but its power still remained intense.

This tidy machine is well-equipped with a Splitdorf magneto, full electrical lighting system and ammeter, tool box, manual Klaxon horn and a comfortable sprung seat. On the fuel tank you can find the emblem of an early Dutch importer: „R.S. Stokvis en Zonen, Rotterdam”.

The engine runs fine and it has a well-balanced sound.
